Competitive Events - 2017-18

Computer Slide Show Presentation Topic: Create a computer slide show presentation on the ethics in the workplace.

Elevator Speech: Present an elevator speech to a Senator about how FBLA-ML helps students develop leadership skills and why it is important to have this organization in middle schools. Students must come prepared with at least one visual to leave with judges (flyer, brochure, etc. about FBLA-ML) and a business card. Both items must have been created by them. Judges will role play the part of the senator and ask up to two questions for student response.

Multimedia & Website Development Topic: Promote the new LEAD program.

Video Public Service Announcement Topic: Your FBLA chapter is sponsoring a Community Service Day on February 10, 2018, the Saturday of FBLA Week. Develop a PSA to get your community involved in this day! 

* American Enterprise Project: 5 page report submitted through Wufoo Entry Form by January 30.

* Chapter of the Year: ML Chapter of the Year Submission Packet (due February 9)

* Chapter Scrapbook: 20 pages (front and back) scrapbook (Due February 9).

* Community Service Project: 5 page report submitted through Wufoo Entry Form by January 30.

* Computer Slide Show Presentation: download to dropittome; topic is Workplace Ethics.

* Creed (RLC): Video must be presubmitted to region 

* Elevator Speech (RLC): Visual, Business card, must be presubmitted to region 

* Employability Skills (RLC): must be presubmitted to region 

* Invention Convention (RLC): Video and Documentation must be presubmitted to region 

* Local Chapter Activities Report: 5 page report submitted through Wufoo Entry Form by January 30

* Multimedia & Website Development: Must be submitted through Wufoo Entry Form by January 30.

* Outstanding Middle Level Adviser: Requires letter of recommendation, biographical sketch and resume 

* Outstanding Middle Level Supporter: Requires letter of recommendation, biographical sketch and a resume

Competitors can choose to compete in individual events or as part of a chapter team:

Individual events focus on leadership and career development skills, such as public speaking, presentation, and business writing. In addition, students demonstrate skill-specific competencies.

Chapter events recognize overall achievement in managing and growing an FBLA-Middle Level chapter.
