REACH Scholars

Trula Robinette and Landon Faulk became the first Catoosa County students to win the Georgia REACH scholarships and they signed their contracts for the scholarship on Monday at a school-wide celebration.

REACH Georgia is the State of Georgia’s first needs-based mentorship and college scholarship program, launched by Governor Nathan Deal as a key component of the state’s Complete College Georgia Initiative. The REACH Georgia Scholarship Program was designed with the middle band of students in mind – students who demonstrate true academic promise, but may not have the personal motivation, academic preparation or financial support they need to obtain a postsecondary degree, diploma or career certificate.

Trula and Landon were surprised and honored Monday at a school wide assembly where the band played, cheerleaders cheered, and the LMS student body yelled their congratulations. Catoosa county government officials, CCPS school board and administration, and local school partners attended to support and cheer the students on.

Congratulations Trula and Landon! We are PROUD of you.
